Welcoming Visitors to Causey Arch

Both the Causey Arch Cottages and the Causey Arch Tea Room are independently owned and ran businesses, welcoming visitors from all over the UK and abroad to Causey Arch in the North East of England. The area has been popular with walkers for decades, with plenty of people coming to the area just to take advantage of the lovely walk down to the Causey Arch, which is the world’s oldest single-arch bridge.

Our lovely Tea Room originally housed horse drawn carriages which were used for weddings and had even been frequently seen in the Catherine Cookson dramas on television!

We then also converted our existing stables into three holiday cottages, which in turn has allowed us to meet some wonderful guests who have been able to benefit from our lovely countryside and take advantage of the refreshments in our quirky Tea Room.

Guests of our holiday cottages can visit the extremely popular Beamish Open Air Museum using our corporate pass – allowing 5 people per day to access completely free of charge!

If you have any questions about the cottages or the Tea Room, please feel free to get in touch and we will do our best to help.
